Dear ${Customer_Name},
Once an asset has been listed on Binance.US, we also conduct regular supplementary reviews, as well as scheduled and event-driven recertifications for all listed assets to ensure they continue to meet our high listings standards.
Last week, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed charges against a former Coinbase employee and others. In its suit, the SEC referenced nine digital assets it alleged were securities. Of those nine tokens, only Amp (AMP) is listed on the Binance.US platform.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to delist the AMP token from Binance.US effective August 16, 2022.
The following delisting timeline will be observed:
- AMP deposits on Binance.US will be closed on August 15, 2022 at 9 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. PDT
- The AMP/USD trading pair will be removed on August 15, 2022 at 11 p.m. EDT / 8 p.m. PDT
- All trade orders will be automatically removed after trading ceases for the trading pair.
While AMP trading may resume at some point in the future on Binance.US platform, we are taking this step now until more clarity exists around the classification of AMP.
Binance.US remains committed to advocating for thoughtful regulation and increased regulatory clarity, in order to build an enduring digital asset ecosystem in which all customers can participate with confidence. Thank you for your continued support.
If you are holding less than $20 in AMP, you can use the Small Balances to BNB converter to convert your AMP dust to BNB.
