What is Radicle (RAD)?
Radicle describes itself as an “open-source, community-led, and self-sustaining network for software collaboration.” It empowers developers to collaborate without relying on trusted intermediaries. The project was developed to empower developers to collaborate without relying on trusted gatekeepers, while also creating new value flows for developers through financial infrastructure such as Bitcoin, Ethereum or DeFi.
RAD is the governance token of the Radicle platform. It enables communal ownership and promotes long-term sustainability of the network. It can also facilitate reduced or zero fees when interacting with Radicle smart contracts.
