Withdrawal lock on new ACH, debit, and Apple Pay deposits
All new ACH, debit, and Apple Pay deposits are subject to a brief withdrawal lock period. During this lock users cannot withdraw USD or crypto funded by these deposits for the following time periods:
- Debit: 7 days
- ACH: 7 days
- Apple Pay: 7 days
Wire deposits are generally exempt from this rule, but exceptions may apply.

Withdrawal lock on crypto deposits still being confirmed by the network
You may also encounter a withdrawal lock if you attempt to withdraw crypto that was recently deposited and is still in the process of being confirmed by the blockchain it was sent on.
Although crypto deposits are credited after their first network confirmation, they will not be available for withdrawal until they have been fully confirmed by the network. Generally, this network confirmation process won't take more than a few minutes. However, during periods of network congestion or higher network activity, your deposit may take longer to be confirmed.
To view the number of confirmations your crypto deposit has received, you can follow these instructions:
- Navigate to your Wallet page and locate the cryptocurrency you deposited.
- Click on cryptocurrency you deposited to open your transaction history, then scroll down to locate the recent deposit.
- Click on the recent deposit to review the details; you will find the number of network confirmations on this page.
Negative account balance
You may see an error saying that your withdrawals are suspended due to risk management. This error indicates that you selected to make a deposit to your Binance.US account, but when our payment provider attempted to pull the funds from your bank account, they were unable to retrieve the funds. This can happen for several reasons, but the most common reasons are:
- The authorized deposit was revoked by the banking institution (ex: a stop payment was placed, the transaction was flagged as suspicious, a dispute was filed, etc.).
- There were insufficient funds in the bank account when processing the deposit.
- The bank account was closed prior to our firm processing the deposit.
- The funds were not fully available for withdrawal (ex: a check deposit hold).
You can see the status of your deposit by viewing your deposit and withdrawal history.
To restore access (from a negative account balance):
To regain access to your account, we'll need you to settle the outstanding balance by making a new deposit. If you want to review how to make a deposit, or different ways of depositing, you can visit our USD Transfers support page here.
Note: There are deposit holds in place to help prevent accounts from going negative. If you'd like to review that information, click here.
After you've settled your balance, please contact us and our team will be happy to help you with the next steps.
Account verification
Another reason we may lock your withdrawals is that our firm needs to finish verifying your identity. Please open a chat session with Customer Support, and we'll ask for the necessary documentation.
Recent account changes (including password changes)
Occasionally, we may need to lock your account if you have made recent changes to it. For example, if you have reached out to our team to reset your two-factor authentication, or you have changed your password, we will temporarily disable your ability to withdraw.
In these cases, please wait 48 hours for your ability to be reinstated.
Referral rewards
Referral rewards are subject to a 7-day withdrawal lock.
