Binance.US today announced that it will support the TerraUSD (UST) contract swap from “Shuttle” to “Wormhole”. Wormhole V2 is a decentralized cross-chain bridge created by Terra that allows users to seamlessly move assets between the Terra, Solana, Ethereum, and BNB Smart Chain networks.
The previous cross-chain bridge, Shuttle Bridge, will be depreciated. Please note that Binance.US only supports BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) and Ethereum (ERC20) UST deposits and withdrawals.
Deposits and withdrawals of BEP20 and ERC20 UST will be temporarily suspended on May 8, 2022 at approximately 7 p.m. PDT / 10 p.m. EDT.
Any UST (Shuttle) deposits that are made or in-progress after deposits are suspended will not be credited to your account.
Please take into account cryptocurrency deposit processing times to ensure the transaction is confirmed before deposits are suspended.
Once the contract swap is complete, UST (Shuttle) will be renamed to WUST, while UST (Wormhole) will retain the previous UST ticker and logo.
Deposits for WUST will no longer be supported, while withdrawals will still remain enabled.
Please note:
Only deposits and withdrawals of TerraUSD (UST) are affected during the contract swap. The trading of UST will not be affected during this time.
Binance.US will implement all applicable technical updates for customers who hold UST in their Binance.US account.
We will open the deposits and withdrawals for UST when the network is stable. The estimated timeline is one or more weeks.
We will issue a separate announcement once the UST (Shuttle) contract swap for UST (Wormhole) is completed and deposits & withdrawals resume.
