What is Band Protocol (BAND)?
Band Protocol is a decentralized data oracle network that sources and aggregates real-world data to users across several different blockchains requesting access to that data.
The BandChain ecosystem uses the Oracle WebAssembly Domain Specific Language (DSL) for writing oracle scripts, which results in a larger scope of real-world data sources available for the network to pull data from before transmitting it back on-chain to various smart contracts.
BAND, the native token on BandChain, allows users to pay for transaction and query fees on BandChain, help secure the network as Validators or Delegators by staking their BAND, and participate in the protocol’s on-chain governance system.
