Frequently asked questions
What if I’m no longer a current Connecticut resident?
If your current residential address is located in a supported state, you may continue using Binance.US by updating your personal information to a supported residential address.
What happens if I am a Connecticut resident and did not withdraw my funds before the deadline?
As part of the escheatment process, Binance.US is required to convert crypto balance(s) to U.S. dollars (USD), which may create taxable event(s). If your funds were in scope to be escheated, a check was sent in the mail in September (to the address associated with your Binance.US account) which expired on December 17, 2025. If you did not deposit your check before its expiration date, you may claim your assets from the Connecticut Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division anytime after January 20, 2026.
